Caress continues her unyielding blackmail of Emily Fallmont, leaving Emily desperate for help from Blake. Sammy Jo feels betrayed by Clay's suggestion to consider an abortion. Meanwhile, Danny’s nursery teacher, Claire Prentice, shares some of his artwork with Steven, revealing the emotional struggles of the young boy. Clay arrives at Sammy Jo's home, proposing a spontaneous wedding in Las Vegas. Alexis uses the intel she gathered on Michael Culhane to unveil his deception to Amanda. He desperately tries to convince Amanda of his genuine feelings, admitting he lent money to her father but will keep it a secret if she stays quiet. Overwhelmed by Caress's threats, Emily confesses to Buck that she was with Ben when Blake's mother died. In a panic from Buck's drunken tirade, Emily runs into the street, colliding with a speeding taxi and collapsing on the pavement.
