After the tragic overdose of Josh Harris, Sammy Jo is weighed down by guilt. Acknowledging that her fixation on Steven is hindering her emotional connections, she decides to ask him to leave her Delta Rho ranch. Meanwhile, Steven faces mounting pressure from both the media and Jeff to implement drug testing for his team. Feeling overwhelmed by his personal and professional struggles, he’s surprised by a visit from his old friend, Chris Deegan. To his astonishment, the team volunteers for drug tests to help ease the strain on him and Blake's campaign. When Dex returns from Natumbe, Steven scolds him and Fallon for disregarding his orders. Sean's advances are rebuffed by a distant Alexis, prompting him to seek comfort with Leslie instead. Jeff invites Sammy Jo to join him, Danny, and L.B. on a skiing trip, but before they leave, he receives Fallon's divorce papers, discovering a new strategy to undermine Blake.
