Law & Order (1990) (1990)
S12E24 Patriot
Episode Overview
A tenement building goes up in flames, leaving Joseph Haden as the sole casualty. With the building being rent-controlled and a tenant strike underway, the police initially lean toward arson as a cause. However, the landlord's lack of insurance complicates that theory, and the medical examiner reveals that Haden's neck was broken and he had been restrained prior to the explosion. Unraveling Haden's life proves challenging; he seemed isolated, lacking family or significant relationships, and received very little mail. Despite earning minimum wage at the Jiffy Job service station, he surprisingly had $90,000 in his bank account. As Briscoe and Green dig deeper, they uncover that Haden was living under an alias—his real name was Yusuf Haddad.
