Episode Overview

Following an assault on Philip and Valerie Messick in their residence, detectives Green and Fontana track down a petty criminal named Jay Fleckner. When Valerie’s testimony inadvertently leads to Fleckner's release, he is later discovered dead. The investigation reveals that Bob Cerullo, a family friend of Valerie and her deceased husband, was the one who pulled the trigger. However, as McCoy moves to prosecute Cerullo, the former police officer retaliates by threatening to allege that McCoy fabricated evidence in previous cases, aiming to coerce him into dropping all charges.
