When the lifeless body of a teenage boy is discovered in a warehouse, detectives uncover a DNA link connecting him to a convicted rapist and serial killer, which leads them to his mother, Allison Ashburn, the convict's ex-wife. As Fontana and Green delve into Danny's death, they find out he had recently impregnated his girlfriend, Tina, and that Allison had seen him shortly before his death, despite her claims of not having contact for months.
