Episode Overview

Briscoe and Curtis uncover that a murdered high-ranking federal official had just relocated from Baltimore, prompting them to collaborate with Baltimore homicide detectives. As their joint investigation unfolds, they learn that the victim was entangled in a secret affair with another prominent government figure, whose reputation is at stake if the truth comes out. Meanwhile, the independent counsel calls McCoy and Ed Danvers to Washington, insisting that McCoy disclose his source or face contempt charges and possible imprisonment.
