The City and the City (2018)

Overview

The discovery of a foreign student’s body in the rundown city of Besźel poses a routine challenge for Inspector Tyador Borlú of the Extreme Crime Squad. However, as he digs deeper, he finds connections to Ul Qoma, a neighboring city with a fraught and complex relationship with Besźel. This investigation forces Borlú to confront his beliefs and the precarious boundary between the two cities, leading him down a path that will test his loyalty and resolve like never before.
