Desperate to establish a successful career as a writer, Jeffrey Hunt takes the extreme step of staging his own death. Meanwhile, his wife Debby, convinced of his demise, carries on an affair with Tony, Jeffrey's editor. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that all the characters will ultimately face the consequences of their lies and deceit.
