Earth presents a fascinating contradiction: to sustain life, life must already exist. From the moment life appeared, microorganisms, flora, and fauna have transformed the planet’s landscape in unexpected ways—fish waste has formed islands, deceased creatures have shaped mountains, and lichen have influenced continental shifts. Yet, life also possesses the ability to devastate our world. While we are currently altering the climate, we aren't the first to do so; ancient microbes once plunged the planet into a deep freeze, nearly eradicating all life. The key distinction is that we are aware of the consequences of our actions.
