Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom (2009)

Episode Overview

A teenage boy from Japan awakens in a desolate room, completely unaware of who he is or how he got there. As he explores, he realizes he’s a tourist but can only remember that someone was hunting him. While searching the deserted building, he is suddenly attacked by a masked figure from his hazy recollections, who tells him to fight for his life. Meanwhile, an unseen observer is monitoring his every move. Choosing to survive, he retaliates and momentarily gains the upper hand, but when he goes in for the kill, the mask shatters, revealing a girl. Attempting to escape, he finds himself in a vast desert, where the girl, now called Ein, informs him he must choose to live as an assassin named Zwei or face death. These events are intercut with scenes of Zwei and Ein, now known as "Phantom," executing a mission in Las Vegas, where they eliminate a mafia family and prove their lethal efficiency for a shadowy organization called
