Deeply immersed in the drug scene, Ryan finds himself spending more on speed than he can handle. In his desperation for more, he resorts to stealing, first from Anita and then from the school itself. When Anita catches him with the stolen items, she must confront him and help him realize the consequences of his actions. Meanwhile, Albers assigns a project about personal histories, prompting Sarah to search for information about her father, which might lead to some unsettling discoveries. Kurt's return to school stirs up memories of his accident, and he worries about how others are coping. He persuades Di to conduct a basic first aid course, but struggles to get the other boys on board until he reveals a surprising incentive that wins them over.
