Episode Overview

Vannessa's new boyfriend has the idea to feature Mark in a commercial for a new brand of shoes, capitalizing on his history with the Warriors. Mark agrees and approaches P.J. about using the school gym for filming. P.J. agrees, but only if he gets a pair of the shoes in return. Meanwhile, Nicole is tasked with writing a report on her personal hero, and she chooses Mark, following him around and excitedly telling her classmates about his upcoming commercial role. During a lunch visit to her boyfriend, Vannessa discovers that Mark will be wearing the less prestigious brand X shoes while a celebrity will don the flagship pair. Despite this, Mark suggests they proceed with the shoot. When a banner reading “Those Who Can Play, Those Who Can’t Teach” is unveiled, they decide to halt the commercial. Ultimately, the director is fired, leading to a change in plans.
