Episode Overview

The atmosphere of the march quickly escalated into a revolutionary fervor. At the Jean Bart shaft, strikers wreaked havoc on the facilities, compelling miners to emerge from below. The group of miners then moved on to other shafts, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake, undeterred by the presence of gendarmes. Tensions soared as the conflict between Etienne and Chaval, who seeks to end the strike, reached a boiling point. A violent confrontation ensued, with knives drawn, and Catherine intervened to protect Chaval. Heartbroken, Etienne grappled with his lingering feelings for Catherine amidst the chaos.
