Tom quickly forms a strong friendship with Bob, another New Yorker, but the same chemistry doesn’t extend to their wives. Susan confides in Tom that Bob's wife was someone she and Mary couldn't stand during their high school years. Meanwhile, Dave persuades Chris to place a bet on a football game, all while keeping it a secret from Mary.
