Episode Overview
In the wake of the explosion, the Gray family struggles to adjust. Maxine reduces her work hours to support Vincent during his tough recovery, while Amy confronts her lingering anger towards Vincent for risking his life for her. Gillian confronts Maxine about her avoidance of Ned. To defend herself against Ian's claims, Amy seeks legal representation. On Edward's birthday, Maxine avoids Jared's calls. Amy's new chief supervising officer is a stark contrast to Bruce. Vincent hides his recovery progress from his family, hesitant to leave the hospital. Judge Salinger is frustrated to find that Bruce has reassigned a case to Amy, expecting her to deliver a fair judgment for a troubled young boy. Sean encourages Maxine to return to work by taking on multiple sexual abuse cases from the same preschool, while Amy struggles to help a grieving mother dealing with her recent loss.
