Episode Overview
Amy faces a challenging decision regarding a ten-year-old boy who was taken by his adoptive parents after they lost custody to his biological mother, and in the process, she uncovers solutions to her own family's issues. Meanwhile, Bruce returns to work as Amy’s C.S.O. while fulfilling his community service at a soup kitchen. Lauren gives Amy the cold shoulder over her cheerleading ambitions, but their standoff ends when Gillian inadvertently reveals their shared history in cheerleading. Maxine’s refusal to sell her home to undesirable buyers frustrates Peter, prompting her to devise a plan that helps both him and a severely mistreated client. Following his sponsor's advice, Kyle applies to every local residency program, and Amy agrees to support him with a recommendation letter. Ultimately, Maxine discovers the perfect buyer for her house.
