Maxine and Jared decide to move their wedding date forward, much to their kids' dismay. Meanwhile, Peter's attempts to organize an elegant bachelor party go sideways, but the guys still find a way to enjoy themselves at a more casual venue, where they coax a tipsy Bruce into calling Zola for a date. Maxine’s bachelorette party is quieter, yet she devises an escape plan. Amy leads a hearing to decide if four teenage boys accused of drugging and assaulting a girl should be tried as adults. After Charles announces his resignation, Jared has to head back to China and postpone the wedding, prompting Amy to advise Charles against disrupting Maxine's happiness. Thankfully, Maxine successfully keeps Eric's case in juvenile court.
