Two years after Eddie Barker took control of Empire, Cookie and Lucious are still trying to rebuild their lives. The family has become fractured, each member handling their grief from recent tragedies in their own unique ways. In her quest to restore the Lyons' legacy in the music world, Cookie discovers a gifted new singer and rapper named Treasure, whom she believes could help them regain their former glory.
