The Road We Have Taken (2009)
Overview
Set against the backdrop of 1925, two brothers, Yang Liren and Yang Chanqing, journey from their hometown to Guangzhou in search of better opportunities. With support from their sister Chanhua and CPC comrades Qu En and Qu Xia, Liren successfully enrolls in Huangpu Military College. As he absorbs communist ideologies and participates in the East Expedition and Northern Expedition, Liren emerges as a remarkable soldier. The narrative weaves together themes of national duty, familial bonds, and the challenges faced by those fighting for their beliefs during a tumultuous period in history.
