Alaric unexpectedly teams up with a new ally to navigate his perilous journey, while Damon and Meredith strategize their next steps. During the school's 1920s Decade Dance, Bonnie invites Jamie to join her, and following Caroline's suggestion, Elena asks Stefan to be her date. Caroline is delighted when Tyler arrives, eager to impress her, but Klaus is determined to interfere. As the dance unfolds, it takes a dark twist when Damon and Stefan realize they must enlist the help of Matt, Jeremy, and particularly Bonnie to break a spell that could have catastrophic consequences for all.
