As Homecoming approaches, Elena asks Liam to join her for a party at the corn maze. Meanwhile, Caroline is distracted when Stefan unexpectedly arrives, needing her assistance to deal with a problem caused by Enzo. Taking Elena's advice to be more sociable, Alaric hesitantly goes to the party, but a tragic incident soon forces him and Jo into a life-or-death situation. Tyler faces a terrifying challenge when his werewolf curse is tested, while a conflicted Stefan opens up to Caroline about his decision to leave Mystic Falls behind. In another part of town, Damon and Bonnie stumble upon a significant revelation that impacts their journey home.
