Laust begins to have a nagging feeling that danger is lurking in the labyrinth and in Mardat, possibly tied to monsters. Concerned, he turns to Hanzum, the leader of the Guild, seeking his help. However, Hanzum dismisses Laust's fears, suggesting that if he’s so frightened, he might as well "leave town."
