Bailey is brought on by the Clinton Paper Company to track down Paul Keddy, an employee who has absconded with a formula for a new product. Keddy finds himself in financial trouble due to blackmail, but things take a darker turn when he is wrongfully accused of murder. As Bailey investigates, he discovers the blackmail operation and ultimately uncovers the true culprit behind the killing.
