Alexis hesitates to dive into a billion-dollar opportunity presented by the self-assured Michael Culhane. Meanwhile, Krystina loses consciousness due to congestive heart failure, and her family, Krystle and Blake, anxiously watches as doctors work to stabilize her. Dana worries that something might interfere with her and Adam's plans to marry. When Alexis learns of Krystina's condition, she rushes to the hospital to find Blake, but Krystle harshly tells her to leave and avoid her family. Alexis is deeply hurt by the rejection. For Danny's sake, Steven and Sammy Jo agree to maintain the facade of a normal marriage while living separately. After the hospital incident, Alexis heads to Los Angeles to visit Jeff and Fallon and their newborn, only to be unexpectedly followed by Michael, who expresses his concern. The biopsy results for Krystina reveal a serious heart condition.
