After surviving a life-threatening incident in Natumbe, Blake returns to Colorado only to face allegations of being involved in an illegal arms deal. Worried that the negative publicity could jeopardize his campaign, Fallon and Steven travel to Natumbe in search of evidence to exonerate their father. As Karen's custody battle approaches, Alexis uncovers proof that Sean bribed Jesse to come back to Denver. Presenting this evidence in court, she demonstrates that Jesse was motivated by greed in swaying Karen's decision regarding the baby. Overwhelmed by the turmoil the case has caused, Dana inadvertently reveals that Karen is the rightful mother, leaving Adam heartbroken as he decides to move out. Meanwhile, after learning that Jeff's divorce is finalized, Leslie tries to rekindle their romance, but Jeff abruptly ends things, leaving her devastated. Later, Jeff visits Blake's campaign office to mend their friendship, and they both express regret over their earlier fallout, with Jeff asking to rejoin Blake's team.
