Upon her return from Natumbe, Alexis is met by Dex, who shares his bleak outlook for Colbyco. Faced with the threat of losing everything, she decides to sell the Carlton Hotel and the Vitron tankers to free up cash. Meanwhile, Sammy Jo confronts Fallon after learning about her brief affair with Jeff. Their confrontation escalates into a playful brawl, ending with them both soaked and muddy, only to realize they’re fighting over a man neither truly wants. Adam plots to betray Jeff by sneaking a peek at Steven’s confidential pipeline notes. Fallon probes Dex about the circumstances surrounding a lake where a body was discovered. Hesitant, Dex reveals that the lake was created after a disastrous project involving Blake and the Colbys. Sable is thrilled to learn that Hamilton Stone has gained Alexis' confidence, and she begins to devise a plan using Stone’s insider knowledge of Colbyco.
