Episode Overview

Spring 1939 brings the looming threat of another world war. Tristan has officially become a veterinarian, while James embarks on a new chapter with Helen and his role at the practice. After Siegfried promotes him to joint business partner, James eagerly seeks to take on greater responsibilities through the Ministry of Agriculture's new bovine TB testing initiative. However, he soon finds himself overwhelmed by unforeseen difficulties that threaten to stretch him to his limits.
