Episode Overview
Matthew arrives at Grace's house with shocking news—he's planning to marry Joan, a much older woman who is also pregnant. Grace struggles to maintain her composure, especially when Matthew claims his adoptive mother supports the decision. However, after speaking with Emily, Grace discovers that the only reason for the lack of objection is Matthew's insistence on the marriage. As the wedding approaches, Joan confides in Grace that while she desires the baby, she has doubts about marrying Matthew. When Grace confronts Matthew about Joan's feelings, he insists he wants to marry her to support the child, revealing his own fears of abandonment. Grace reassures him that he can still be involved in the child’s life without tying himself to Joan.
