Russell feels betrayed by his friends for shopping at the newly opened chain pharmacy in their area. Meanwhile, Libby becomes consumed with her birthday party plans, while Quentin is desperate to obtain his driver's license, allowing Wade, Russell, and Jean to teach him how to drive. Grace's worsening back pain is so evident that even Stevie Ray at the bar notices her struggles. She increasingly relies on pills, leading to instances where Libby struggles to wake her. Concerned, Nadine, Wade, Russell, and Jean stage an intervention, but Grace reacts with anger. The situation escalates when she discovers that Jake, a bar acquaintance, is actually a drug dealer. Disgusted, she reaches out to Jimmy for help, who offers his unwavering support as she confronts her addiction.
