Episode Overview
When Russell's ex-wife Barbara arrives with her new boyfriend and announces her intention to take him to court for increased alimony, he feels hopeless. However, Grace encourages him to investigate Barbara's finances and advocate for working women. During the court hearing, Grace uncovers that Barbara owns a condo complex that she failed to disclose, leading the judge to order her to repay a significant portion of her alimony. Meanwhile, Jean proposes a loan to Grace for house renovations and even offers to move in to share expenses, but Grace declines. Ultimately, under Floyd's encouragement, Russell reluctantly lends Grace $5,000 for a roof repair, only to discover that Jean’s busy social life consists of fictional characters from a book.
