Episode Overview

Following a fierce storm, Sheriff Tupper learns from Stephen Earl's four daughters that their father perished while they were out on a boat. Jessica, however, is more captivated by Ralph, an older man who has offered to work in exchange for meals, especially since he clearly has a wealthy background. The sisters' accounts of the boating incident keep shifting, but when Ralph is discovered dead and revealed to be Stephen Earl himself, Jessica must assist Amos in untangling the conflicting narratives of the Earl daughters to uncover the truth behind their father's death and the motive for the murder.
