Episode Overview

Jessica is thrilled to receive an honorary degree from Crenshaw University, but her excitement quickly turns to dread when she's drawn into a murder investigation. The boyfriend of notorious author Daphne Clover is discovered dead, prompting Jessica to help the inexperienced chief of police solve the case. As she delves deeper, both Daphne's mother and Daphne herself admit to the crime, but Jessica senses they’re shielding one another. This realization leads her to shift her focus onto the university faculty, where she hopes to uncover the truth behind the murder.
