Episode Overview

Serena, cursed by Nick’s immortal bite, devises a scheme to reclaim her humanity. According to an old myth, a vampire can regain mortality by bearing a child with a mortal who has an extra chromosome, though this mortal will be killed shortly after conception. When Trilling, the one with the unique chromosome, is arrested for murder, Serena steps in to provide him with an alibi. Aware of her intentions, Nick finds himself in a moral quandary as he investigates the murder, grappling with his past wrongs toward Serena while trying to avert another tragedy, all while keeping his motives hidden.
