As the police department’s job action escalates, chaos ensues. Hunter confronts his demotion and steps in as roll call sergeant for the unwell Jablonski. Meanwhile, the detective LaRue attempted to arrest for fencing is reassigned to the Hill. Flaherty and Bates work to negotiate with a man threatening to detonate explosives in exchange for cash. At the same time, Joyce navigates a precarious situation, striving to resolve the job action while brokering a deal for her client that would secure a conviction against the dangerous mugger.
