The Parkers hope to enjoy a peaceful picnic day with Lassie, but their plans are continually disrupted by a series of unexpected crises. Though they never get to have their picnic, the family soon discovers that their true happiness comes from jumping in to help others and embracing their knack for "saving the day!"
