Zoe and Harvey observe a lightning bolt that ignites a forest fire. Instead of returning home, Zoe bravely decides to guide Lassie and Harvey up the mountain to a fire lookout. There, she uses the radio to inform her father about the blaze. However, her determination to rescue a group of animals caught in the path of the fire puts everyone at risk.
