Episode Overview

Maggie Kring and her brother Kai venture into the Carpathian Mountains, determined to uncover the identity of a mysterious man who accompanied their father to the Oderbruch in 1947, a former war deserter. However, they encounter a troubling silence in Romania. Meanwhile, Roland Voit, despite being suspended from the investigation, follows Maggie’s trail and stumbles upon the body of a deceased teenager in a forest cabin. When his Polish colleague, Stanislaw Zajak, tracks him down, Voit is compelled to keep his knowledge under wraps. Zajak shares a theory about similar unsolved murders in other nations and insists that Voit assist in locating Kai.
