Luke forms a bond with a cantankerous elderly neighbor, much to Phil and Claire's disapproval. At the same time, Gloria and Manny are eager to persuade Jay to attend the symphony with them. However, in a bid to dodge the concert, Jay finds himself out on the town with Mitchell and Cameron for their "boys' night out," while Haley takes on the responsibility of babysitting Lily.
