The family heads to the yearly school fair, where Phil has organized a grand surprise for Claire to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. However, Claire is also preparing a surprise for him back at their house. Meanwhile, Gloria enlists Jay to serve as a fair cop, but things take a turn when he finds himself paired with his rival. On another note, Mitch, Cam, and Lily aim to make the most of the fair, but Cam is feeling down due to his football team's recent losses, while Haley experiences an uncomfortable first meeting with Andy.
