Episode Overview

After the evacuation of Dannevirke, the Austrian Hussars set out to track down the Danish forces. Their pursuit culminates in a deadly confrontation with Peter's division. Meanwhile, Laust's unit finds itself battling a severe snowstorm, leading to a near-fatal accident involving Laust. Overwhelmed by guilt and feverish thoughts, he contemplates confessing his secrets to mend his bond with Peter. In a parallel journey, Inge, ousted by her family, joins a group of gypsies heading to Sønderborg in search of Laust.
