Angie and George are taken aback when they learn that Carmen has been spending time alone with Jason for the past month. They confront the young couple, only to discover that Jason's parents have relocated overseas. When Jason is arrested for hosting a party that involved drugs, the police decide to send him away, jeopardizing his dreams of a professional baseball career. Despite his reservations, George agrees to let Jason stay with the Lopez family, on the condition that he and Carmen keep their relationship strictly platonic.
