Episode Overview

While at the courthouse to resolve Tessa's traffic violations, MacLeod, Tessa, and Richie find themselves part of a group taken hostage by armed men intent on rescuing their leader, Slade, from jail. When Slade's requests go unanswered, he selects a hostage for execution. MacLeod steps forward to volunteer, sacrificing himself. However, he miraculously returns from the dead to track down the gunmen one by one, all while the police stand by, unable to intervene.
