Episode Overview

Father Bernard is confronted by a dark secret he thought was long buried when Ernest Daimler, the Nazi Major he killed as a boy and disposed of in the Seine, reappears at his church, seemingly unchanged by time. This shocking encounter reminds Bernard of MacLeod, who once revived after dying during a mission for the French Resistance and had sworn Bernard to secrecy. Seeking guidance, Bernard turns to MacLeod for support. Meanwhile, Anne reveals to MacLeod that she’s pregnant by a close friend she turned to after his presumed death. As MacLeod grapples with impending fatherhood, Daimler kills Bernard and targets Anne next. In a fierce confrontation, MacLeod kills Daimler, forcing Anne to confront the harsh realities of their life together. Struggling with her own feelings about the violence, Anne ultimately decides to leave MacLeod.
