Toby is approached by an old friend who is ready to expose his company’s breaches of environmental regulations. Meanwhile, Amy experiences a chaotic first day at the office filled with playful antics from her colleagues. Abbey tasks Amy with persuading the President to consider a veto on a foreign aid bill that includes an abortion gag rule. Tensions rise when a prominent D.A.R. member claims Abbey's ancestor was a pirate, threatening a boycott of Zoey's induction dinner. In the midst of this, Zoey sends Charlie a breakup email, but he defiantly professes his love. Donna is less than pleased when Josh assigns her to monitor a potential security threat at Zoey's event. Will steps up to highlight the environmental and human toll of an Alaskan glacier's melting.
