Following Miles' gift of a friendship ring to Rose, she becomes convinced that Charlie is attempting to send her a message from beyond, expressing his disapproval of her romance with Miles. At the same time, Blanche takes on the role of coach for her new boyfriend, who is a baseball player, helping him enhance his skills on the field.
