As Liz starts experiencing bizarre, otherworldly transformations, she feels compelled to distance herself from Max. To do this, she plans to leave Roswell and enroll in a boarding school in Vermont. At the same time, Maria receives a tempting recording contract in New York, but she grapples with the alterations the label wants to make to her music in order to achieve mainstream success.
