Following a stern lecture from Aunt Bee, Opie makes the impulsive choice to leave home. What begins as a simple escape spirals into a whirlwind of enlightening and at times perilous escapades for him. Meanwhile, Aunt Bee and Andy are left in a state of worry, as they realize Opie's absence might lead to unforeseen trouble.
