Andy receives a surprising letter from a man he injured in the past, revealing that the individual plans to visit Mayberry. Fearing for Andy's safety, Barney becomes convinced that the visitor is out for vengeance. He recruits Gomer and Otis to covertly safeguard Andy. However, their attempts to protect him create more chaos in town than any actual criminal could ever cause.
