Episode Overview

Frustrated with the ongoing grumbling regarding the recreational options at the 4077th, Colonel Potter designates Hawkeye and B.J. as the new morale officers. Meanwhile, Winchester is riding high after successfully operating on a soldier named Sheridan, preserving his leg with only minimal side effects—diminished use of his right hand. This becomes a poignant issue as Sheridan was a concert pianist prior to enlisting. In response, Winchester seeks out a composition by Maurice Ravel, originally created for a pianist who lost a hand in World War I, aiming to uplift the young soldier's spirits.
