Kathy composes an exceptional poem about the significance of Thanksgiving for her fourth-grade class, and Jim inflates his anticipation of it to unrealistic heights. However, when he finally reads her work, his lofty dreams for Kathy’s potential come crashing down, leading him to criticize the poem to Margaret. Unbeknownst to him, Kathy is nearby and hears his disparaging remarks.
